Rochelle Hubs cross country boys and girls at the Black Sail Invite in Belvidere, October 2026
The boys placed 5th out of 13 teams at the Black Sail Invite in Belvidere, the site of this year’s regional.
Tyler Johnson was the meet champion. Following the plan to sit back for two miles and finish fastest, he ran his last mile in 4:50.
The team is working to improve its second-mile times, which were windy here. “They are right where we want them to be for times,” Coach Bergeson said. “We are in a great position to finish as one of the top boys cross country teams in school history.”
The girls raced right around their PR times and gained valuable experience ahead of regionals. The JV team competed at the Sterling Invitational.
