Rochelle Hubs cross country runners in purple at the Rock River Run, September 2026
Rochelle finished 8th out of 24 teams at the Rock River Run, moving up from an 11th-place seed. It was the best 5K team performance for the boys since 2000.
Tyler Johnson placed 2nd out of 201 runners. He raced with the leader the whole way and nearly won. His 15:44 is the fastest 5K race in school history.
Many athletes ran personal records. “Every athlete came to compete today and have worked their tails off in practice,” Coach Bergeson said. “We’ve had the best two weeks of practice that I can remember ever in coaching. The team is working with each other and pushing each other to be better.”
